Prathmesh Music Academy was founded by Ashok Kadam Ji in 2000. He was a renowned tabla and dholki artist with over 35 years of experience. During his career, he accompanied iconic artists like Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, and many other famous musicians. When he established the academy in 2000, he already had more than 200 tabla students. Many of his students are now performing in the industry.
His two sons, Aditya Kadam and Omkar Kadam, are continuing his musical legacy and expanding the academy. Aditya Kadam is proficient in harmonium, vocals, and keyboard, and he teaches these instruments as well. He also regularly performs in shows. Aditya has completed his Visharad in harmonium and singing and has worked with renowned artists such as Grammy Award winner A. R. Rahman and Shreya Ghoshal. He also holds a 7th-grade qualification in keyboard from Trinity College, London. Aditya is the director of Prathmesh Music Academy, where he teaches keyboard, harmonium, and singing.
Omkar Kadam, on the other hand, specializes in tabla, guitar, and percussion. He has completed his Visharad in tabla and holds a 7th-grade qualification in guitar from Trinity College, London. What makes Omkar’s journey unique is that he is a disciple of Ustad Altaf Hussain Tafu Khan ji, as well as the son of his father, Ashok Kadam ji, and the disciple of his guru, Pandit Ashok Godbole.
Both Aditya and Omkar Kadam teach and nurture students at the academy with the same dedication and expertise passed down from their father and gurus.
In 2021, Aditya and Omkar Kadam launched their music store, which quickly gained popularity due to the positive response from the public. As a result, they opened two additional branches in Kalyan, and recently launched an online platform to meet increasing demand. The music store is equipped with a dedicated staff for each category of musical instruments to help you select the right instruments.
