The Beginning – A Vision by Ashok Kadam (2000)
The journey of Prathmesh Music Academy began in the year 2000, when Ashok Kadam founded the academy with a clear vision — to spread the beauty of music to every home.
A respected Tabla and Dholki artist, Ashok Kadam performed and recorded with legendary singers like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, along with many renowned artists in the Indian music industry. His dedication, discipline, and deep understanding of music built the strong foundation of the academy.
Expanding the Legacy – Aditya Kadam
Carrying forward his father’s legacy, Aditya Kadam expanded the academy to reach more students and introduced modern teaching methods while preserving classical values.
A talented Harmonium player, Singer, and Keyboardist, he has performed alongside celebrated artists like A. R. Rahman and Arijit Singh, bringing professional stage experience into the academy.
The Next Generation – Omkar Kadam
The musical journey continues with Omkar Kadam, who represents the new generation of Prathmesh Music. Skilled in Tabla and Guitar, he blends traditional rhythm with modern styles, connecting strongly with today’s youth.

Today, Prathmesh Music Academy proudly trains over 600 students under the guidance of 18+ experienced and professional teachers. The academy focuses on structured learning, stage exposure, and professional development, creating confident performers and skilled musicians.
The Birth & Growth of Prathmesh Music Store
The Prathmesh Music Store was originally started to provide quality instruments to academy students. Due to increasing demand from artists and musicians for branded and budget-friendly instruments, the store quickly evolved into a professional music retail destination.
The official store opening was held on 21 November 2021. In just a few years, the store expanded rapidly because of customer trust, quality inventory, and professional guidance.
